Dennis Gonzalez is currently a lecturer at St. Vincent School of Theology and St. Andrews Theological Seminary. He is also a Faculty Member of the Ateneo Professional Schools where he served as Associate Dean (Sept. 2006 - May 2010) and as Academic Program Director (November 2005 - July 2008) of the Ateneo School of Government. He used to be the Director of the Center for Social Policy of the Ateneo School of Government from November 2005 to June 2006 wherein he conceptualized and managed the making of the book “How To Win an Election: Lessons from the Experts” (2006 & 2009 editions). He is also the editor of the books, The Will To Change: Marikina and Its Innovations (2009) and Frontline Leadership: Stories of 5 Local Chief Executives (2007). A former editor of the theological journal MST Review, (1998-2003), he is currently the editor of the series Mga Kataga sa Teolohiya. He is also a blogger <discoverthegift.blogspot.com> of pieces on leadership, governance, book development, ethics, spirituality & theology.

He is the Chairman of the National Book Development Board (NBDB). One of his projects is the completion of “National Book Development Plan (2005-2010)” which aims towards the development of the book publishing industry in the Philippines helping the country become the Publishing Hub in Asia. He was a consultant in the Curriculum Reform Committee of the Department of Education (August 2001-June 2002). In fact, he formulated the Rationale, Philosophy and Features of the 2002 Basic Education Curriculum (BEC) which he presented to the directors and Superintendents of the Department of Education and to different teachers and school administrators.  He has also given lectures in different schools regarding NBDB and Curriculum change (BEC).

He was the founding member of Catholic Resources for Theological Education (CresT) Inc. and the Damdaming Katoliko sa Teolohiya (DAKATEO, Catholic Theological Society of the Philippines).
