Fr. Tuazon is from the Congregation of the Mission – Philippines, who has been teaching at St. Vincent School of Theology since 2006. His primary specialization is Moral Theology, specifically Fundamental Moral Theology, Christian Sexual Ethics, and Catholic Social Teaching.

Over the past twenty years, he has shared his knowledge with Filipino and international students through teaching, writing, and mentoring seminarians from diverse backgrounds. His work consistently bridges theological study and lived practice, reflecting his conviction that theology must engage with the concrete realities of daily life.

He earned his Licentiate in Sacred Theology from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (magna cum laude) and later completed his Doctorate in Sacred Theology (summa cum laude) from the same institution. His dissertation, “Whose Story, Which Rationality? A Conversation between Narrative Ethics and Liberation Ethics,” explored the intersection of two ethical frameworks.

He currently serves as Dean of Studies at St. Vincent School of Theology – Adamson University. As a mentor, Fr. Tuazon is known for being exceptionally thorough, providing patient, culturally sensitive guidance, and helping students move steadily through their master’s and doctoral programs. His mentoring is marked by excellence, humility, respect, and genuine attention to each student’s context.

In his engagements with students, colleagues, and the wider community, he demonstrates personal integrity, generosity, and doctrinal soundness. His teaching draws consistently from Moral Theology, Catholic tradition, and theologians who balance creative insight with fidelity to the Church. His academic and pastoral work together offer a compelling witness to Theology done in service of both the Church and the broader society. His ongoing research develops a pastoral, contextual theology rooted in Scripture, Catholic Social Teachings, and Christian spirituality, with sustained attention to social justice and the concerns of the poor and marginalized. He approaches Theology as practical wisdom oriented toward transformation rather than abstract speculation.

Fr. Rolando has also served in various roles beyond the classroom: Cultural Trainer for the International Catholic Migration Commission (1989–1990), Parish Priest of the Santuario de San Vicente de Paul Shrine and Parish (2010–2018), the present National Spiritual Adviser of the Ladies of Charity–AIC Philippines, and the current Executive Director of the Philippine Action for Community-Led Shelter Initiatives.
