The Diocese of Tarlac and OLPCS expressed their commitment to strengthen ties with SVST, with the assurance that their seminarians will undergo theological formation at our Vincentian institution, walking hand-in-hand at the Margins of the Church.

September 29, 2026
Last July 24, 2026, doctoral students from KU Leuven, Loyola School of Theology, Australian Catholic University, Toronto School of Theology, and SVST participated in a 10-day summer doctoral program. They visited St. Vincent School of Theology and Santuario de San Vicente de Paul as part of their immersion program. A meeting lead by Fr. Roland Tuazon, CM expressed his passion for discussing the Vincentian institution’s pursuit of excellence through its pastoral and academic programs. More than 20 participants have expressed interest in the school’s degree and non-degree programs, as well as in the Santuario de San Vicente de Paul’s BEC organization and parish engagements. International academic collaborations build strong bridges that connect the mind and the soul.
SVST Visits Multinational Foundation Inc. (MFI), Explores Further Collaboration
September 29, 2026
SVST Visits Multinational Foundation Inc. (MFI), Explores Further Collaboration” Last August 4, Fr. Roland Tuazon, CM, Fr. Rex Fortes, CM, and Ms. Erna Carreon visited the main office of Multinational Foundation Incorporated in Makati. MFI added two new students to the SVST Scholarship Program, bringing the total number of students receiving full scholarships to seven. During the meeting, the two Vincentian priests presented other SVST programs, including the Human Formation Program under Fr. John Era, CM. This formation project seeks to equip seminarians with practical and formative skills that can support them throughout their formation and prepare them for their future ministry. This is one of SVST’s initiatives that MFI has expressed interest in supporting, and SVST is expected to present a proposal at their regular meeting. This opens further possibilities for collaboration that continue and strengthen St. Vincent de Paul’s legacy of Charity for the Poor.
St. Justin De Jacobis Library Plans to Expand Facilities Supporting the Growing Need for Research
September 26, 2026
As the Saint Vincent School of Theology community continues to grow, the need for additional research spaces and storage facilities is also increasing. With the SVST administration planning for the expansion of the library, recent improvements have already been made. A new air-conditioning unit was installed in the study area, the library transitioned to an RFID electronic gate system to track books and monitor student attendance, and the old computers in the computer laboratory were replaced. Further upgrades and additions are expected as the demand for research resources continues to rise. Providing students with comfortable spaces for study, accessible and up-to-date research materials, and modern facilities and equipment that support academic excellence is one of SVST’s enduring commitments.
Renovation of Theology Department Office
September 14, 2026
SVST has updated the layout of its Theology Department Office to better accommodate the needs of its administrators and staff. Kuya Nonoy Estella was commissioned to renovate and improve its space. It previously had dimly painted cabinets that occupied a significant amount of space. To address this, the storage area near the Lobby was redesigned to provide a place for important old files and documents. Three tables to accommodate the Department Head, the Research Director, and the Head of Administration were also added. These provide more comfortable and functional workspaces that support greater work efficiency in our Vincentian mission for the students, the Poor, and those at the Margins of society.
Audio-Visual Room Improvement for Better Academic and Institutional Activities
September 29, 2026
Last July, SVST personnel were tasked with applying Formica laminate to the Audio-Visual Room tables, which showed signs of fading, staining, vandalism, and general deterioration, as part of the room’s refurbishment. The glossy finish gives the tables a cleaner, brighter, and more polished appearance. Another planned development for the AVR is the installation of an LED wall provided by Adamson University. This will provide a clearer and more effective display for programs and activities, reducing the room’s previous reliance on a projector. Leisure and learning are things to look forward to in Vincentian programs and activities at SVST AVR.
SVST Canteen Flooring Improvements for Safety and Accessibility
October 21, 2026
The flooring of the SVST Canteen has undergone improvements to enhance safety and accessibility. These improvements became necessary because the roots of a large mahogany tree had grown beneath the flooring, causing parts of the surface to become uneven. This made it difficult for students, faculty, and staff to walk comfortably and increased the risk of trips and slips.
Last October 4, 2026, SVST carried out repairs by trimming the tree roots and reinforcing the flooring to create a stronger, more even surface. These improvements help ensure the safety of students, faculty, staff, and visitors using the canteen. The improved flooring now allows everyone to move around the area more comfortably, supporting SVST’s continuing efforts to build a strong and efficient Vincentian community with a Mission.
Maintenance Area and Student Assistant Rooms Upgraded in SVST
September 29, 2026
Improvements have been made in the northeast area of the SVST compound. Previously, the space primarily served as a storage area for the heavy equipment and tools of the Maintenance Department. Some parts of the storage structure had deteriorated over time, while the pantry also required renovation to better accommodate the needs of the maintenance staff. Last July 2025, renovations began in the area to improve functionality and provide additional workspace, these included the expansion of the equipment storage area, the installation of a water dispenser and electric fans in the pantry, the cementing of the pathway beside SVST, and the repainting of cabinets. The second floor was also restructured to serve as rooms for Student Assistants. These renovations provide greater functionality, comfort, and efficiency for the maintenance staff and Student Assistants. They also maximize the use of the available space within SVST and make good use of the resources necessary for Vincentian education and Mission.
